This Cookie Policy explains how tempmailpad.com uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit the Service, what each category is for, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage), which saves data in your browser until it is cleared, and pixels or tags, which are small pieces of code used to measure activity. We use both cookies and localStorage; where this policy says “cookies”, it covers all of these.

Only essential cookies are set when you first arrive. Analytics and advertising are disabled by default and load only after you accept them in our consent banner. We implement industry-standard Consent Mode, which means analytics and advertising tags are instructed to deny storage until you grant consent. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set, and the Service continues to work normally.

3. Essential cookies and storage

These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites.

Active inbox and domain. Stored in your browser’s localStorage so your current temporary address and chosen email domain persist when you reload the page.
Consent preference. Your accept or decline choice is stored locally (under the key tempmailpad.consent) so we do not ask you again on every visit.
Session and security. If you sign in, a session cookie keeps you authenticated. Security and rate-limiting cookies help protect the Service from abuse.

4. Analytics cookies

Set only with your consent. We use privacy-compliant analytics tools to understand aggregate usage — such as which pages are visited and how people arrive — so we can improve the Service. These cookies typically identify a browser rather than a person, and we do not use them to read your inbox or identify you personally.

5. Advertising cookies

Set only with your consent, and only where advertising is enabled. Third-party advertising networks use cookies to serve and measure ads. Their use of advertising cookies enables them to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. We do not use the contents of your temporary inbox for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.

6. Third parties that may set cookies

Analytics & Tag Management Tools — usage measurement, with consent.
Advertising & Publisher Networks — advertising delivery and measurement, with consent, where enabled.
Security & Edge Infrastructure — security, bot detection, and performance as part of hosting the Service.

You can change your mind at any time. Use the cookie settings link in our footer to reopen the consent banner, or clear your browser’s site data for tempmailpad.com to reset your stored preference. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the Service from working.

To control personalised advertising more broadly, you can use Ad Settings, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out, or Your Online Choices in Europe.

8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Because analytics and advertising require your explicit opt-in, nothing non-essential is set unless you consent. Where we receive a Global Privacy Control or similar browser signal, we treat it as a request to decline non-essential cookies.

9. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy; the “Last updated” date above reflects changes.
